Soumia Fares is an Artist & Design Research Lead with 10+ years of experience leading research projects that define new products from scratch.

Fares has dedicated the bulk of her career as a technologist investigating and designing products that build community -- online and offline. She’s had the privilege of leading international research projects for cutting edge teams designing such products at Twitter, Airbnb Experiences, Facebook, Microsoft, Noom, Yammer etc.

As an artist, she often explores the relationship between technology and emotion, blending both digital and analog to tell the stories of those she advocates for.
